Edward C. Reed HIgh School
The Edward C. Reed High School state championship We the People team is requesting help from your organization to support our upcoming trip to the We the People national competition in Washington, D.C.

We the People is a nationwide competitive high school program that focuses on the design and function of American constitutional democracy. The class works intensely on research, presentation skills and teamwork. As we sharpen our scholarship about our nation’s history, as well as current issues and events, we compete against other high school teams, first at the congressional district level, then at the state level, and this April 23-28, at the national We the People competition in Washington, D.C.
Budget:
6 day-5 night Travel package to Washington, D.C. = $1,919 per student, times 11 = $21,109.00

If we do not reach our goal, the money could be used on:
1) Partial payment for cost of trip (travel package).
2) Admission to places on the D.C. trip, such as The Newseum - a First Amendment museum.
3) Study resources, such as classroom books for students to research.
